Brandon R. Blevans
Brandon R. Blevans' practice focuses on labor and employment matters for local, state and national employers. His practice is divided between 1) litigation defense for all types of employment claims (such as discrimination, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination and retaliation), 2) provision of day-to-day human resources counseling, and 3) advice on union relations and negotiations, including the defense against union organizing campaigns. Brandon frequently advises employers with respect to wage and hour issues, trade secret and unfair competition issues and many other labor and employment issues arising under state and federal law. Brandon appears in a variety of venues on behalf of clients, including administrative agencies such as Cal-OSHA, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Employment Development Department and the National Labor Relations Board. Brandon also presents frequent training programs to his clients' employees on subjects such as managing performance and preventing unlawful harassment. He recently received a CINE Golden Eagle Award for excellence in film for his contribution as an on-camera expert in an award-winning harassment prevention video. Brandon is active in both the North Bay/North Coast and California employer communities; he chairs the Sonoma County Employers Advisory Council Board of Directors and served as Vice President of the statewide California Employers Advisory Council. He is also a frequent speaker throughout the area on numerous topics related to labor and employment law and regularly authors labor and employment related articles. Brandon practiced with a national employment firm before co-founding a successful labor and employment law practice in the wine country. When not working hard for his clients, he usually can be found golfing or working on his Sonoma County home.
