Cathy A. Roche
Cathy Roche, a director of DP&F, specializes in land use and real estate law. She joined DP&F in 1988. Cathy has extensive experience in zoning and planning matters related to wineries and agricultural parcels. She appears regularly before local government bodies and planning commissions and has many years’ experience in crafting solutions between clients and government staff members. Cathy graduated from Hastings College of Law at the University of California, San Francisco. She has a master’s degree in chemistry from Ohio State University. In her prior life, Cathy was the co-author of, "A Convenient Procedure for the Chlorination of Deactivated Anilines," Journal of Synthetic Organic Chemistry (1985) 669. In addition to her law practice, Cathy has worked as the grant consultant for the Napa Valley Wine Auction. Cathy has served on the Board of Trustees of Queen of the Valley Hospital. She was also appointed by the Governor to serve on the Board of Directors for the 25th Agricultural Association. Cathy is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Volunteer Center of Napa County, Hands Across the Valley and the City of Napa Community Development Block Grant Committee. Cathy is an avid horsewoman and scuba diver. She is the proud owner of a cutting horse, along with the trucks, trailers, and equipment required by this hobby.
