David Balter joined DP&F in 2005, and is a Director in our Litigation Department. David's practice emphasizes creditor's rights, commercial and general business litigation, trust and estates litigation, commercial landlord/tenant matters, alternative dispute resolution, real estate, construction defect and mechanic's lien issues. David has practiced in these areas of the law since 2000.
Prior to joining DP&F, David worked for ten years with the law firm of Shapiro Buchman Provine & Patton, LLP, in Walnut Creek, California. David has also worked at the Alameda County District Attorney's Office as a Collection Enforcement Deputy and was the Senior Legal Assistant at the San Francisco office of the international law firm, Coudert Brothers.
David is a member of the bars of the State of California, the United States District Court for the Northern, Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, and the United States Court of Federal Claims. David is also a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association - Litigation Section and the Napa County Bar Association.
