Joan Harrison Cohn has worked with law firms in Detroit, Michigan and Los Angeles, California in the practice areas of probate, income tax, and estate and gift tax.  She has been with Dickenson, Peatman & Fogarty for over 26 years practicing in the area of estate and gift tax and trust administration. 

Joan, working closely with the Firm's attorneys, routinely assists clients with collecting, inventorying and valuing assets, and she is involved with all aspects of preparing and filing federal estate tax returns and gift tax returns, the transfer of assets to beneficiaries or to the trustees of the new trusts that have been established, and assists with estate tax audits.

She is a Member of the Board  of the Parent Child Advocacy Network, and a past trustee of The Napa Valley Opera House, and past board member of the California Area IV Board for Developmental Disabilities, and Matrix.  She is also a past Chair of the Estate Planning Section of the San Francisco Association of Legal Assistants.
