Commercial Ventures & Wealth Management

The Commercial Ventures & Wealth Management group provides a broad range of legal services to entrepreneurs, family and closely held businesses and real estate developers and property owners at all significant stages during the life of a venture, as well as counsel and advice for investment and asset management matters for individuals and families.  At the inception of a new venture we work with our clients to develop the appropriate capital and management structures for corporate and partnership vehicles to be used in the venture and help our clients raise funds through commercial financing, and private equity and venture capital financings.  Throughout the life of the venture our group provides employment advice and intellectual property protection and valuation and works with our clients on corporate governance issues and general transactional matters.  In the later stages of a venture we offer experienced advice for structuring and closing transactions, from mergers and acquisitions, to joint ventures or other strategic structures, to sales of companies or divisions or workouts or restructuring of a public or private company.  

Our group also has significant experience working with individuals and family businesses on succession and generational transition issues, lifetime financial and business planning, gift, estate and personal income tax planning, planning for charitable giving and the administration of trusts and decedents estates.  In the event of disputes, we handle litigation relating to each of the areas discussed above.
