Alexander Mau is an associate in DP&F’s Business and Alcohol Beverage Law and Compliance practice groups. His experience includes advising on mergers and acquisitions, business and asset purchases, alcohol beverage advertising claims, contests/sweepstakes, franchising laws, and licensing requirements. Alex also has experience in commercial intellectual property work, technology contracts, and privacy law work.
Alex attended the University of New South Wales in Australia and received his Bachelor of Laws/Commerce. He is also an LL.M. Candidate at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a licensed attorney in California, and prior to joining DP&F, Alex practiced at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, one of the largest firms in Australia.
Alex is also a pianist and toured Australia in musical theatre productions of Mary Poppins and An American in Paris. He relocated to the United States from Australia in early 2023 and has loved the diversity of people, places, and nature found throughout the U.S.
Alex now lives in Napa, where he enjoys hiking, baking, and being spoilt for choice with world-renowned local food and wine.
