Theresa Barton Cray joined DP&F in Spring 2021 and is an associate in the business and real property practice groups. In addition to her California license, she is also a licensed attorney in Illinois.
Prior to joining DP&F, Theresa practiced in Chicago, Illinois at the law firm Winston & Strawn LLP. Theresa has experience working on business law transactions spanning the practice areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate transactions, corporate governance, capital markets and securities, and other commercial and contractual matters. She has represented clients in complex matters including asset and equity sales and purchases, mergers and business reorganizations, and debt and equity offerings and redemptions.
Theresa joined DP&F to pursue her passion for working with clients in the wine, beer, spirits, restaurant, and hospitality industries. Theresa is honored to be assisting producers and business owners as they offer high-quality products and services to the Napa and Sonoma communities.
Theresa lives in Napa with her husband and their expansive whisk(e)y collection, comprised largely of a variety of scotch whiskies. Similar to winemaking, the region where a scotch whisky is produced has a vital and inimitable impact on the flavor of the whisky, with the smoky, peated whiskies of the Isle of Islay being the household favorite.
