Bahaneh Hobel, DP&F Partner and Head of Alcohol Beverage Law and Compliance, will be a panelist at this year’s 2021 Annual Conference of the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators. The session, titled, “The ‘Ins and Outs’ of Private Label Products,” will be held on Sunday, August 29th, from 11:15 AM – 12:15 PM.

From NCSLA:

Ever pulled that house-branded bottle of vodka from your shelf, and wondered how it cleared Tied House hurdles? This presentation will discuss how to bring a private labeled product to market, focusing on the regulatory considerations.

Historically, many private label products were offered at lower price points. Over time, private labels have moved onto many top shelves. Private labels are becoming a means to drive consumer engagement, focus on local or specialty ingredients, and otherwise create unique experiences. But are some stretching the private label model too far, and stepping out of bounds?

After a refresher on the key regulatory issues, the panelists will provide an “inside baseball” perspective on the evolution of private label products, the hot current trends and what’s to come.
