  • Biography

    Elena is an associate in DP&F’s land use practice group. Prior to her joining DP&F, Elena worked as an attorney for the State of California handling issues related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), easements, natural resources, real estate, and land use.

    Elena also has previous experience in litigation of land use, real estate, easement and water issues in both state and federal courts. She has a strong educational background in environmental science, and has experience evaluating issues related to local, state and federal land use and environmental laws including CEQA. Her practice also includes assisting with non-litigation advisement on issues pertaining to real estate, land use, agriculture and general business matters.

    Elena’s background before law school includes tenure at an urban planning firm in San Francisco. Outside of practicing law, Elena is an avid trail runner and mountain biker, and is active in her family’s wine business, Idell Family Vineyards.
