05.14.2014 Wine Industry Vineyard Economics Seminar (Napa, CA)

Scott Greenwood-Meinert of Dickenson, Peatman & Fogarty spoke as part of a panel on “How California Winegrowers Will Weather Future Storms.”. Scott discussed the North Bay’s Wine Industry taking a leadership role in California water policy regarding groundwater management responsibility as another component of the Wine Industry’s continuing agricultural leadership as to natural resources, particularly water use efficiency. Scott focused on the Wine Industries leadership in the use of recycled water and the opportunities that exist in Napa and Sonoma to expand the use and thereby increase potential vineyard acreage in a region with otherwise very little room for vineyard growth. This seminar was held at the Napa Marriott.
