Scott Gerien, DP&F Partner and Head of the firm’s IP Practice, will be a panelist at the International Trademark Association’s Annual Meeting on November 18, 2021 in Los Angeles.

Based on his experience representing Chef Thomas Keller on his intellectual property matters during the past fifteen years, Scott will be speaking on a panel discussing celebrity chefs and issues related to their brands. The session, “Personal Brands and Beyond: The Rise of the Celebrity Chef and International Restaurant Chains,” will explore the ups and downs of the industry and provide insider tips of the challenges and opportunities faced by these celebrity chefs, not only building their brands, but leveraging IP to protect their brands, persona and their business.

The International Trademark Association is a global association of brand owners and professionals dedicated to supporting trademarks and related intellectual property (IP) to foster consumer trust, economic growth, and innovation. INTA’s members are nearly 6,500 organizations from 185 countries.
